Our guide to gay bars in Prague.

There is a gay bar in Prague to suit all tastes.  You can go clubbing or cruising, meet bears or twinks, take in a drag show or chill out in some great cafe lounges! Many of the bars are open until 4am or 5am, depending on the season. Note – some bars will use “Drink Tickets”, also known as a consumption card. Payment is made when you leave the bar. Don’t loose your ticket, the penalty fee is high.

Several of the bars are located in basements, so remember this when trying to find a bars when out and about. Unlike in other European cities, bars, clubs and cafes in Prague all seem to blend into one. The mood and atmosphere in a venue can change over time; from cafe-style to club in a matter of hours. It just depends on what time you visit! Bears, twinks, lesbians and everyone between…. all mix together enjoying an easy and laid back atmosphere.

Termix and On Club are open late. Monthly gay parties include OMG on the first Saturday of the month and Lollypop, the longest running gay party in Prague  taking place on the first Friday of the month.

If you want to be close to all of the clubs then we recommend that you stay in Prague-1 or Prague-2 central Zones or in Zone 10 (Vinohrady). A taxi from Zone 1 to Zone 10 will cost you EUR 7 approximately. Check out our shortlist of best hotels in Prague.
